The Life of Stars

Workshops

In this workshop, we look at the amazing life-cycle of a star. From birth through to death, what they are made of and how and why we are able to study them. We learn about different types of stars and investigate the various life stages such as nebulae, red giant, super red giant and neutron star.  Using simple experiments we try and understand how supernova happen and what forms mysterious black holes. The workshop is finally concluded by assembling a 3D model depicting what we have learned.
